And then we'd travel very far
To where the magic countries are
That you and I will never see
And choose the loveliest gifts for you, from me.
Why is it that you always have to leave when it seems like you've just came back? I hate it that when we need to see each other, there's always something cropping up here and there and when we felt that there wasn't any need to see each other, we had all the time in the world.
Each time you call me to tell me you are just about to leave again, I try to sound happy for you, for me. But deep inside, I don't feel like being happy at all. As we grow up, it feels like you are slipping away from me. Further and further, until I am afraid that one day, it can't be salvaged anymore.
Each time we go out, I miss you even though you are standing just right next to me. Because I know that the next time we meet up would be eons down the road. Each time you laugh, I revel in your laughter because I want to remember how it sounds like and how we were so happy together.
Even if we were to go back to the places we frequent together, I doubt we will feel the same anymore. We won't feel happy as before but instead, our feelings would all be tinged with a lil of bittersweet-ness. Because the places that were once ours, are no longer ours. They have all became distant memories.
Girl, you know I am always here and not going anywhere without you, don't you? Because at the end of the day, the place that I belong is the place right next to you. I feel proud of us when people get jealous of how deep our friendship goes because I know that there were so many trials and tribulations we had to go through before reaching this final attainment. Only you and I would know what we had to go through and with each trials, things just got better.
