Interesting Read.

So last night at Bather's was absolutely smashing! Wonderful food, wonderful wine, wonderful company. :) However, One Daily Scoop closed before I got to eat my kahlua ice cream. Pffft!

Went to town today with the family. I came back with 10 new CDs including one which I've been wanting to get. And my dad was so nice to have bought the entire set for me! He got me the full 9 Symphonies of Beethoven, played by the Berlin Philharmonic. I could die a happy girl right now. :) Dinner-ed at this Korean place which we used to frequent when I was younger until we fell in love with other restaurants. Meehee. I was so full that I could barely walk. And right when we went down, everyone started shopping and I happily bought Famous Amos to munch on while waiting for them. There goes everything. I should really stop munching on food. ):

I didn't talk about dinner with Sam on Tuesday. We went to Billy Bombers because I had a sudden craving for it. Meehee. There was so much food and so much laughs that left me pretty satisfied at the end of the day. :) After dinner and walking aimlessly around Marina Square, we went back to his place. He was like this bellboy with all the bags because he came down from Paya Lebar Airbase which is like, a totally different country to me! Hahaha. But as it is, I was even later than him. But I told him not to grumble about it because Jori had to put up with worse appearances from me. Meehee. We talked so much that I was left with nearly no voice at the end. Oh, you know what's funny? I met his mum for tea on Friday (or was it Thursday?) and I told her that I was going out for dinner with Sam on the coming Tuesday. And his mum was like, "Oh? Really? I wanna go along too!" And my mum was all like, "Nooo! Don't! You know how Laura and Sam's like. They will go for the good food and I don't want to be left to pick up their tabs!" And then his mum was like, "Yeah! Right! Ok! I don't want to go already!" Hahaha. Gayness yo!

Oh oh! When you see me, please remind me to tell you about Little Me! I mean, when you see me in person and not online or sms and the likes. It is damn funny! HAHAHA. :D

Pickled Gherkins

Ohhh sex, I just bought a bottle of pickled gherkins. :D And as I am typing this, I am munching on a stick of gherkin. This is love yo! I love love love gherkins! ;)

So, today I've been multi-tasking. Like really! I am reading manga while watching 宫 (pok pok kay lar. It downloads damn slow. Pffft!) while watching 爱情魔法师 while listening to music while chatting online.

But it feels damn shiok. Hehehe. I can live this lifestyle forever! Meehee!

( No Title )

So the exams have all been cleared. Went to school early on Monday with the intention to mug before the paper. But I ended up people-watching in C2 for more than 2 hours. I saw so many friends and so many people who reminded me of other friends. I even saw this guy who reminded me of Rex. And just as I was walking to the examination hall, I saw 咪咪眼. :D

A conversation last night made me felt very happy and blessed. (:

Couldn't sleep at night though. Was feeling all sick and after tossing around till 4am, I barfed and I felt worse at first but better later. Slept all the way till 12 noon without realising it until my mum came barging in, complaining that I am sleeping the entire day away.

Started to pack my room a bit, stuffing stuffs into the wardrobe but I gave up halfway. Just can't concentrate and everything's spinning around me. Rahh!

Mum's trying to tell me something but all I can hear is mumbles and I can't be bothered anymore.

All the best for your promos, dear. And stop staying up so late mugging. I get sad about it. But I know it isn't your fault but just try to sleep earlier aight? ;)

I had so much stuffs to write about but once I sit myself down, the mind's a total blank. And now, my grammer's all in a mess. Screw that.

Happy weekend. ;)

I am feeling particularly happy this weekend. :D So many things happened, so many things done (except studying that is).

Domozhe gave me a fine surprise when he texted me. He was out of OCS for the weekend and I was mighty delighted that he remembered his Domotofu. Hahaha. :D

Talking to my Pig Prince now before he books into camp tonight. He always buys my favorite food, but not for me. ): He buys it to bring into camp. Rahh! Dinner-ing next weekend, I can't wait! ;) The Moo-moo Princess is looking forward to it eh? Meehee.

Shopped and purchased new furnitures yesterday. Can't wait for them to arrive and start packing up this semester's notes! Something very very exciting (at least to me) is going to happen in mid-September. So I'd better get my room all done up nicely.

Lunched and dined out yesterday. Realised that I've been eating out way too much but at least my parents are not complaining, so I am not complaining too. :D

English breakfast complete with muffins and bacons, yakitori lunch and Japanese steamboat dinner. Whatever happened to self-control?

Dinner-ing with Sam on Tuesday. Yay! Dinner on Tuesday would officially mark the beginning of holidays!

I figured I should go find some work to do instead of bumming around. Piano lessons? Tuitions? Or some other random part time jobs. Usually by the time I've decided, holidays are over. Rahh!

Tonight, I just watched Tuesdays with Morrie which Oliver borrowed from his school library. And I cried again. At first, I thought that I wouldn't cry over it anymore because I already knew what was going to happen. But when Mitch Albom cried during his last visit to Morrie, I cried. ):

House revamping!

So yesterday, I was asked to go out again. Somehow, I feel that my mum has been acting weird these few days but I am not complaining! ;)

First, she keeps asking me to go out. And then, if I am out with her, she will ask where I wanna go and she would bring me. Right after that, she will keep on asking me if I am hungry and whether I have any cravings for anything. And I'm all like, " ?????? " But then again, I am not complaining. Meehee!

So anyways, yesterday we went to Ikea and she said that I should revamp and refurnish my room. That makes me happy. Hahaha. So we were looking at stuffs and I was just commenting that this particular wardrobe looked nice and spiffy and she was like, "You like ah? Ok, then we buy that." I was like, "!!!!!! So expensive! The price tag is like $1000++++." Somehow, I feel that I am turning into my mum and she's turning into me. ):

And then she said that she's going to tailor make a canopy over my bed. T.T I still think I'm living in a dream. Don't wake me up just yet.

On a totally different note, exams are on Friday. ): Pffft! And yours truly has not yet touched her notes.

Going out tonight to have fun fun fun! And hopefully tmr, I will settle down and do some last minute mugging. Rahh!

Contradictory.

I think my mum's funny. I have been out this entire week, too much for my own good as a matter of fact. She is always unhappy when I go out too much so today, I decided to stay at home. Not really to be a guai daughter but its mostly because I am kinda sick of going out.

So I thought she would be pleased that I was at least spending some time at home but no. She isn't. In fact, she kept calling home to ask me to go out. I was all like, "Huh? No thanks. I rather stay at home today." She said fine, it's up to me. And then less than 10 mins later, she calls me back and ask me to get my arse out of the house and go towning or something!

I think I am living in a dream. My mum? Telling me that? HAHAHA. I reckon life's going to be good!

So now, I'm just about to go wash up and head out before she gets pissed with me for not going out. Even making that particular statement sounds funny because instead of the usual "I better stop going out before my mum gets pissed with me" I am now saying something contradicting that. Meehee.

Laptop screwed!

It feels weird sitting in the study room, typing this entry out. The keyboard feels weird to my touch, the screen is unfamiliar to sight. And it feels like I am sitting in a laboratory, rather than in a study room, what with my brother and sister's desktops around me even as I sit typing away at my other brother's desktop.

My laptop is starting to screw up on me! ): It sucks totally, I tell you. Rahh!

Anyhow, moving on, it's time for me to start work! Not literally working with a pay but there's so many domesticated chores at home waiting for me. Not the sweep-wash-wipe kind but the more gung-ho, manly type. So much for having 2 brothers at home when these kinda chores are still left to me. ): I have to sand the gate down and get 2 coats of paint up. But since I am looking on the bright side, it's a good way to suntan myself. :D

I hope someone nice walks by so that I could pounce on him/her to be my next victim and get him/her to help me out! And then I could sit and sip some lemonade. HAHAHA. ;)

And then after that, I think I am going to move my piano out of my piano room because I do not like the way my piano sounds in a confined area. But my brother would sooner whack me than allow me to do that. Pffft!

I played Pachelbel Canon in D and in C last night. You have no idea how the fluidity of it all helped me. Somehow, it felt like it was sipping through my fingertips into my being and suddenly, I could find peace and tranquility around me. Was in a rather rah-rah-rah mood yesterday because of the lack of sleep, or rather, too much sleep. Meehee! But all's well that ends well.

On a side note, I think my laptop is trying to play games with me. ): Last night, it kept screwing up on me for all it was worth. This morning when I woke up, I tried again and it screwed up somemore on me. And now, just as I was typing this entry on my brother's desktop (pssst! Don't tell him aight? ;p ), I switched on my laptop and suddenly, it's working perfectly fine. Purring like a fine lil kitty. Rahh!

Going to go the library in a bit to return all the books I got before The Letter comes in AGAIN. Last month, I got a letter from the library because my books were long overdued since I was using them for my assignments. That set my mum into a fine uppity mood since there was so many books and it was overdue for so long. I think The Letter might be coming in today. :X

Mission Possible for today: Intercept The Letter before it gets into my mum's hands. HAHAHA.

Sundays are love!

I love Sundays because Sundays are days that I get to have my parents all to myself. ;) My sister would be at NAFA having dance classes while my brothers would be home gaming away. So I get to go out alone with my parents. Blessed blessed feeling. I love! ;)

Caught the fireworks last night with Mr PTB (Pilot Trainee Boy). Hahaha. Can't say the fireworks were magnificent though. It was aight, I guess. For the most part, I was just listening to the little kids wahh-ing away. Total ace I tell you, just listening to them wahh-ing away.

Rahh! I think I am getting the European fever. I just got 2 books. One was Weekend in Paris while the other's Tuscany for Beginners. I have just about made up my mind that I am going to gallivanting around France and Italy when I grow up. Or rather, when I have enough ka-ching! in my bank.

Shopping on Wednesday, I can't wait! So much for trying to cut down my expenditures. Rahh! Someone should probably hold onto my wallet when I go out so that I have to go through someone before I get to buy whatever I want to buy. But not when the person's a bigger shopper than me! Hehs.

Today my mum was just saying that she is going to send all of us (the 4 kids) to take up different sports over the weekends, instead of being cooped up at home gaming away. And so, I think Oliver's going to go for Muay Thai which he wants so much and I don't because that means he can whack me better. ): I is going to go back to sailing. Emma has her dancing while Vince. Erm. I don't know. He has too much homework at hand to think of other sports.

Why is it that you always have to leave when it seems like you've just came back? I hate it that when we need to see each other, there's always something cropping up here and there and when we felt that there wasn't any need to see each other, we had all the time in the world.

Each time you call me to tell me you are just about to leave again, I try to sound happy for you, for me. But deep inside, I don't feel like being happy at all. As we grow up, it feels like you are slipping away from me. Further and further, until I am afraid that one day, it can't be salvaged anymore.

Each time we go out, I miss you even though you are standing just right next to me. Because I know that the next time we meet up would be eons down the road. Each time you laugh, I revel in your laughter because I want to remember how it sounds like and how we were so happy together.

Even if we were to go back to the places we frequent together, I doubt we will feel the same anymore. We won't feel happy as before but instead, our feelings would all be tinged with a lil of bittersweet-ness. Because the places that were once ours, are no longer ours. They have all became distant memories.

Girl, you know I am always here and not going anywhere without you, don't you? Because at the end of the day, the place that I belong is the place right next to you. I feel proud of us when people get jealous of how deep our friendship goes because I know that there were so many trials and tribulations we had to go through before reaching this final attainment. Only you and I would know what we had to go through and with each trials, things just got better.

Would you like to know what's a secret fetish of mine?

I like to go to the library and browse through photography books. Books with lots of photos and little words. It makes me feel happy just to be looking at the photos of places far away because sometimes, I feel as though I am there too and I can faintly smell the smells and hear the sounds around me.

There's nothing better than a photograph because it can capture many emotions and memories and have it frozen in place. Sometimes, when you find a photograph of someplace that you've been before, you feel as though you are being teleported to the days gone past and you can still remember how you felt that day, what you did, what you ate and the lingering taste on your tongue.

But up to this day, I can never open any books showing photographs of Shanghai. The feelings are just too overwhelming. There are so many mixed emotions coursing through my veins that I go giddy with confusion.

Just today, I thought I was ready for it. But the moment I opened the book, I almost had to put it down immediately though part of me couldn't let go of it. Every other page reminded me of some people, some places and the memories that were attached to it.

I guess I was too wilful then. All I thought of was that I needed to get home quick! And went home quick I did but I didn't manage to tie up the odds and ends and now, they are all left dangling and I can't close that chapter at all. Not even after 2 years.

Rash decisions are well, rash and they only bring about short-term happiness. But in the long run, you will start to regret whatever rash decisions you made earlier. By then, it would have been too late because what's done can't be undone. What's past is past. You have to learn to either live with it or have it take control over your life.

I guess I am stuck right smack in the middle of it all. I live with it but sometimes it takes control over my life too, just like today. When it gets too overwhelming, there's nothing much you can do about it too, can you?

No one can ever understand how I feel. There's times when I wanted to just dwell on it and smack myself hard for all the rash decisions I've made and people's lives whom I've made hard because of that decision.

Kayla, Mandy, Selena, Jennifer, Carine, Manlio, Lipi, Tim, Sang, Unc Rick, Aunty Lynn and most of all, Alex. I make myself stop thinking about Alex because of all the bad decisions he made after I left. But when Natalie told me that it was because of me that he was in this state, I couldn't help not thinking about him. It's frightening to know how badly you can affect someone's life. That kind of power is scary.

Everybody thinks I'm a give up-per now. But they don't understand that I didn't give up because I didn't like it. I gave up because my life was going nowhere. That path that I had trod on was unplanned, the days were all spent going to school to learn something which I know that I will never ever use in future. The days were spent doing insubstantial stuffs. I was going nowhere and that was a scary thought when everyone around me were going somewhere, even if it were temporary.

Would YOU have carried on if you knew your life was going nowhere? One year was wasted going no where and I was not about to waste another year doing the same thing.

So why are there people coming up to ask me, or my mum, "Oh. Hey! How is Laura doing in ECH now? Is she fine?" I get damn pissed off with that. Yes, I know you are full of concern for me and my future but you are making me feel that you think I am a give up-per! And in turn, my mum starts to ask me, "Are you having problems in school? Why is everyone asking me about you?" I feel like screaming!

Even as I am typing this right now, I feel like screaming and I feel so hot and bothered with it that my fingers are going in overdrive just trying to keep up with the pace my mind is going right now.

WHY THE HECK ARE YOU BOTHERING ME WHEN THIS IS MY LIFE THAT I AM LEADING! So what if I am just about to give up again (which I obviously won't, doh!)?! What is it to you anyway? So that you can snigger and go, "See. Blablabla's daughter give up again." I hate it when people start to compare me with someone else. So what if your daughter's great? That doesn't mean I am not! I am not her and neither is she me. So what fuck is it to you that she is greater than me? Does it give you joy at all? Cheap thrill, you hear me? Because if that is so, you are just comparing her with someone who is supposedly worse than her. You should compare her with someone better instead!

Just go away and stop bugging me. I am in a rather emo mood right now and I don't want to entertain anyone tonight.

Why is it that people can say "I love you" so easily? Like as though it has no meaning, no weight attached to it. They can throw out that 3 words so easily that sometimes, you wonder how much truth the 3 words has. And how can anyone say "I love you" to person A now and the next month, to person B?

If it came all that easy, the meaning and sacrosanctity of it would all be lost in the process because love doesn't come easy and neither does the 3 words.

I guess, love has become overrated. What happened to the good ol' true love? Most of the time, love comes with a hidden agenda and there almost always has to be a reason for it now.

You know, when you were young, whenever you received a letter, you go mad with joy because somehow, letters kinda signified that you were fast becoming an adult, or maybe an adult, if you get my drift. I remember that I always go mad with joy when I receive letters. Sometimes my cousins would send me letters, sometimes my parents would send me letters too (hahaha!) and sometimes my friends would send me letters. I kept every single one of them and up to this day, I still have them in my letter box. And when it came to Secondary School, my good friends and I wrote letters to each other everyday too! To tell each other what happened, this and that since they were not of the same level as me. Everyday, we had like 3 - 4 letters to write cos there were 5 of us. And during breaks, morning assembly or anytime you manage to sneak off class, you rush off to their class to sneak the letters through the window grills. I still keep all the letters and postcards we wrote too.

But nowadays, when you open your mailbox and you see that there's a letter addressed to you, more likely than not, you will cringe. Because the only letters you receive nowadays are phone bills, credit card bills and the likes. At first, it may seem fun because it feels kinda impressive but after a while, you start to dread the day your bills come in.

Best way to end a night.

The best way to end a night is by spilling red wine onto your white shirt. Because that doesn't only mean vigorous scrubbing, it means that your night has just ended for you. Rahh!

Sad songs are always so much nicer than happy songs even if you are feeling happy. I suppose that's because so much heart and soul is poured into the song when you are sad. If you are feeling happy, you can't really pour your heart and soul into it can you? The best way to show your happiness while singing is only by jumping on the couch and shouting down into your mic, well at least to me. Hehs.

Substantial Post?

I have nothing substantial to write about anymore. ): The mind's a total blank and when I finally find something to write about, circumstances would usually change that fact. Circumstances being, by the time I get logged onto blogger, I would have forgotten what I wanted to blog about. Boohoo.

So last night, I was Marina South-ing yet again watching the fireworks. And as it is, I was more interested in how the fireworks went up than the magnificent display. To me, the display was overstimulating. You wouldn't know where to focus cos there's too many things going on at the same time.

And then, this little frog hopped onto me and I stroked it. It hopped away and I wanted to catch hold of it again when the lady next to me asked me what happened. I was like, "Oh, there's a frog on your mat." and the next thing she did was stand up screaming and stomping away. Pffft! And I have this bad feeling that she had stomped onto the poor frog and I didn't dare to see her keep her mat after the whole thing was over. Boo! ): Poor frog.

See, insubstantial post with no depth to it at all. I think I am losing it. Pffft!

On a side note, yours truly has somehow managed to wash her contact lens down the drain yesterday morning during a mad frenzy trying to get ready for skl. Rahhh! ):

Of Changing Blogskins.

Whenever I wanna change my blogskin, I always had to go through this inner turmoil in me. Because on one hand, I really want to change my skin but on the other hand, I've grown rather fond of the current one too.

Aside from that, you've to go through a series of elimination before finally reaching a final decision of which skin it is that you really want. And because no one can ever be truly satisfied, when you finally change your skin, you feel that it is not that nice after all. But at least for now, I kinda like this skin.

After going through the inner turmoil stage, you've to muster up your courage to change it. The codes for the skin sits really really long on your desktop before you finally come to the decision of using it.

Maybe I'm the only weird ass around who's like that (and my Smelly Starfish too). But to me, every change of skin means a brand new start with old memories left behind.

On a totally different note, tmr's Tuesday which will mark the end of EVERYTHING! Only the girls know what I want, especially Jasmine and Yixin. Meehee. ;)

Saturday!

Rahrah! Long day ahead today but I is loving it! :D Heading out to Xin's place in a bit before going down to Marina South tgt tonight. I love long days like this when it's not spent on rushing out assignments done or undone.

Next week's love too! ;) Schooling only on Tuesday and Friday which leaves the rest of the week free for town-ing! Meehee.

Retail Therapy

Retail therapy is love, but a depleting bank account is not. My dad's going to get pissed at me again if I swipe my card too many times this month. Each month, when the bank statement gets in, he will give The Look. ):

I am high maintainence yo. But I've been cutting down alot. :D Haven't been cabbing much (bcos I've not been going out much too. The times when I DO go out, there's something called the C-A-R. Hehs). And I've put Xin's note in my wallet to remind myself to stop spending! Hope it works. Hahaha.

Marina South-ing tmr night! That's what life's all about. Having fun getting crazy with friends. ;)

My sexy botaks are booking out of camp tmr. Ooh, the joy of seeing their chao bin and their spiky hair. You wouldn't know how nice a botak head is until you've touched it. Hehs. But I know the boys hate it because it serves as a reminder to them of their loss of their once glorious mane.

I love random entries at times because it has a flair of its own. Sometimes, I feel happy with random entries because it means that my life's filled with so much happenings that I can't get down to writing it properly in chronological order because of the amount of things. :D But on the off chance, I hate random entries because it means I have so much at hand (think assignments) that I can't sit down and write an entry proper.

Scoop reminds me of Scrip, Scrap and Scoop, my 3 puppies, which in turn reminds me of Shanghai, which in turn reminds me that NAla is in Shanghai these few days for work. ): Can't wait to finish up everything at hand and go gallivanting in NZ with her. 1 1/2 years more to go! Gambatte!

I hate it when people ruffle my hair. So Mr Quek Sikai, don't do that next time! I don't like it, at all. ): See you at C2 next Friday morningggg!

Can someone please tell me?

Can someone please tell me why is it that when I google search for Hyun Bin, all his pictures are so fugly? I mean, seriously! They can do better you know, because all the pictures that they have are just an understatement to him! The best that I could find was this..

Anyhow, at the moment, I have finished all my mathematics stuffs. :D Just the Field Practicum reports to go and I am cleared for the long run. HALLEJUAH~!

Plan for the night.

I have to say, I am so proud of our Designing Learning Environment board that we finished in a record time of 4 hours last night. I think it is so nice and it more than justifies for the 4 hours of hard work put in. We are geniuses yo! ;)

Went home all the way from Sembawang lugging the big big biiiig board. The funniest thing happened on Jln Malu-Malu last night. I was walking down the slope when I thought I heard a mad dog barking and running behind me. Mind you, I am not scared of dogs but a mad dog is not a very nice thing, leashed or unleashed. So anyways, I got freaked and I didn't even dare to stop and look back so I scuttled down to slope like some bug lugging a big board. And it turned out to be this Indian guy with a faulty bike and his brakes were giving out that mad-dog-sounding noise. Pffft! ):

So anyhow, was rushing home all the way because I wanted to meet NAla in town to grab a couple of drinks. But as it is, I missed the bus, train and bus again so that when I reached home, it was nearing 10 though I left Sembawang at 8pm. And you know what that means. Scrapping of plans. Sigh. ): It was so sad because I was so hyped about hitting town but I didn't want to look like some alien with that huge board. I shall stop being so image-conscious and hit town whether or not I am lugging a board or box!

Went to look at watches the other day with my dad. My orangey watch's spoilt (and a lil of I-am-sick-of-it) and my nice nice vintage watch was left at the library the other day when I went off in a rush to meet DINGDING! Boo to VSTM. I wanted to get a Paul Picot watch but the ones that I saw were so man-ish and my dad didn't like the designs of Paul Picot. ): His exact words were, "UGH!" Excuse me, this is called refined acquired taste hokays! :D So I ended up not buying any watches because I couldn't find one that I liked. We then went to Coffee Beans to sit around and the lady mixed up the order and I got 1 extra Hot Chocolate free on top of the one we paid for. ;) Cheap thrill. Hahaha!

Anyways, here's my plan for tonight! I am going to finish up my MAYC individual assignment, MAYC group assignment, FP Lesson Plans Evaluations, FP Self Reflection! It may not sound like much but it is actually a shitload full of assignments to complete in one night!

HOLLAND V-ING TMR! That's my only motivation for tonight. Hehs. ;)

Life's contradiction.

Isn't life one huge contradiction? One fine example is when you hear a song that's unknown to you and you are listening to it for the very first time that day. You find that you really really like that song alot but you didn't catch the title of it at the beginning. The tune's stuck in your mind but not the lyrics, hence you are not able to find out the title of the song. You go about each day with that little secret hope in you that you will hear it again on the radio, on TV or even better, on someone else's iPod. But as it is, you never got to hear it again. And then, one fine day, you finally found the song on the net through random surfing. And the best part is that one of your best friend has that song and she sent it to you by pure luck (meaning, I didn't even ask her about it. Talk about telepathy yo.) You start listening to it day in and day out on your laptop.

And then when you step out of your house, suddenly, you hear it everywhere! For this particular example, I heard it a total of 3 times today! 2 times in C1. And that particular song is Do I Make You Proud by Taylor Hicks.

So tell me, isn't life one huge contradiction? Punctuated by many many other fine examples which I can't be bothered to talk about tonight. Sigh.
