About Me
If, I ever found
A wishing carpet lying around,
I'd stand upon it and I'd say:
"Take me to his side, right away!"
And then we'd travel very far
To where the magic countries are
That you and I will never see
And choose the loveliest gifts for you, from me.
Last night, I went for Laureates of the Prinses Christina Concours ( The Netherlands ) and I was blown away by the 2 guys who performed ! I was awestruck and whatever other -strucks there might be. They were so fuggin' good, I tell you ! Before it started, I was worried about my brother who was no great fan of classical music, especially those that were going to be played in their full movements. But they were so so so good. They made what had initially seemed like a heavy repertoire sound so light and lively.
Thomas Beijer, the guy who performed on the piano was very very good, if I may say so. And he's only 18 years old this year ! Wtf hahaha. And he's undergoing Bachelor of Music program ! Okays, let's see. It has taken me nearly all my 19 years to reach where I am now, that is trying to pursue Diploma in Music. If I were to go until Bachelor, I reckon it's going to take me the rest of my life !
Jeroen van der Wel was on the violin and I enjoyed him more than Beijer. I guess it's because piano no longer intrigues me and also because I would sorely love to pick up violin/cello next if I can. He was totally immersed into the pieces and it kinda felt like he was lovingly stroking the music and his violin at various points during the pieces, if you get what I mean. Mozart, Chopin and Brahms are never going to be same under their fingers.
And just when you think that both of them are exceptionally good ( which they are ), they are only two of the many talents that have emerged from the Prinses Christina Concours. Imagine how many musically talented youths Netherlands must have ! Omgosh, omgosh.

Did I mention that van der Wel looked kinda cute too ? HAHAHA. ;p

Does anyone have a cure for a good night's sleep other than consuming sleeping pills and the likes ? I wish I could sleep without having to wake up in the middle of night, be it automatically or because of some light sounds outside my window or door.
I don't understand why people love to sleep when it rains. Some claim that the pit-pattering of the rain soothes them. Instead, that very sound keeps me up all night and it irks me. ));

I have 7 Ss up on my repertoire for the rest of the holidays. :D 1 S - Sleep ! 2 S - Slack. 3 S - Sports ( I need the exercise, see ? Hahaha. ) 4 S - Shopping ! Scour Singapore ( doesn't that make it an additional 2 Ss ? ) for good bargains. Heh heh hehs. 5 S - Sun ! 6 S - Sand ~~ 7 S - Sea !
I wish I could add Shanghai onto that. Hahaha.

Vince has been borrowing books from his school library and we have been having fun reading them, at times fighting for them even. Hehehe. I think all of you should go find that book cos I find it really interesting for a fantasy story book. I was never a great fan of fantasy books until this particular guy has converted me. :D All hail David Eddings !
Seriously, I think RI has the best library collection ever ! Muahahahs. Leylong leylong !
